Mayor of Belgrade Sinisa Mali and CEO of MPC Properties Thomas H. Villadsen laid the foundation stone in a ceremony that marks the beginning of construction of the Navigator Business Center
Belgrade, September 4, 2015 The Mayor of Belgrade Sinisa Mali and CEO of MPC Properties Thomas H. Villadsen laid the foundation stone today at the location where the class A office building, Navigator Business Center, will be constructed. This marked the beginning of another successful project by the company MPC Properties. The opening is set for October 1st 2016.
Located in the heart of the Central Business District (CBD) with a great connection to all parts of the city and only 15 minutes away from Nikola Tesla Airport, the Navigator Business Center will have a total area of 22,000 square meters, out of which 14.600 will be leasable. The building will have 2 underground levels for parking and 9 floors above ground. The total investment value is estimated at more than 20 million EUR.
Taking into account all the postulates of sustainable development, the new modern office building is developed in accordance with the highest LEED standards and principles of green buildings, focusing on optimizing the energy consumption, which will reduce the tenants expenses to a minimum. The tenants may choose office space, ranging from 285 to 1,730 square meters, while a special feature of the building will be its exceptional flexibility and a tailor-made approach, which will allow the tenants to arrange their office landscape in accordance with their needs and requirements. The new business center will cover everything that constitutes modern business and so far, more than 50 percent of the office space has been leased. Anchor tenant is VIP mobile. An additional advantage to the investment is that there will be a private kindergarten intended for children of the employees on the ground and first floor, with a capacity of 120 kids.
The Navigator Business Center will have a total of 203 parking spaces, out of which 147 will be placed in the underground garage, while 56 spaces will be available outdoor.
“This investment only goes to prove that Belgrade is not only an attractive tourist destination, but it is also a place to do good business. The capital of Serbia will get a new office complex at the world’s highest standards, which will also make a good incentive for the commerce in the country. We, as the representatives of the city, will continue to invest our effort and create a good environment and business climate for investors, while addressing their needs, and we shall endeavor to issue permits and approvals in a quick and efficient way with the aim to encourage further financial investment into our city. Belgrade is definitely becoming a city of new office buildings, and I am convinced as well that the Navigator Business Center will set some new market standards“– said Mr. Sinisa Mali, Mayor of Belgrade, during the foundation stone ceremony, and wished the MPC Properties representatives a lot of success in their further business.
“This investment is expected to meet the demand of the market and tenants who need a building that can face all the challenges and requirements of modern business. The works will be conducted according to the highest ecological, technical and construction standards, in order to offer tenants a modern office space and a secure support for their business. We expect that the Navigator Business Center will become a synonym of successful business, setting a new standard for this market and as such, it will attract companies still not present in the domestic market. I would like to thank Mr. Mayor and his team for a fantastic cooperation and professionalism shown in the process of implementation of this project, as well as for the speed at which all the required permits were issued“ – said Thomas H. Villadsen, CEO of MPC Properties.
The Navigator Business Center is another important investment in the MPC Properties portfolio, alongside Usce Shopping Mall, Usce Tower, IMMO Outlet Center, Shoppi Retail Park in Subotica which is under construction, as well as many other assets in compliance with the highest standards.
